How To Factory Reset A KDA, An Aries And/Or Leo Model Player

The Steps below will guide the user on how to do a factory reset on the KDA-Aries and/or KDA-Leo Model player.
Please NOTE: By doing a factory reset, all network settings will be wiped out.
There is also the possibility that it will need to be provisioned again.
Steps for Factory Reset of KDA
Models that can be factory reset using the steps below are: KDA-904, 905, 909, 1010, 1040, 1060.
Connect a keyboard and monitor to the KDA
Power Cycle the KDA
While it’s turning ON during the reboot, keep clicking on F8
Click on F8 until a menu appears
From the menu, select Repair this computer
The whole process of factory reset will take about 40 minutes. The KDA will do it on its own
When the KDA is reset, it will go back to the base image the unit was built with.
When the Factory reset is complete, the unit will have to be configured with network settings (STATIC or DHCP)
The unit will have to be upgraded to the version it was prior to the reset
Steps for Factory Reset of Aries and Leo Players
Connect a USB keyboard and monitor to the player
Power cycle the player.
Press an “F” key to access the Boot Options screen
For Leo, Arries I, or Arries II - Press F7
For Arries III - Press F9
It might take up to 45 Minutes.
When the Aries/Leo is reset, it will go back to the base image the unit was built with.
When the Factory reset is complete, the unit will have to be configured with network settings (STATIC or DHCP)
The unit will have to be upgraded to the version it was prior to the reset
