Automated Content Workflow Examples

Folder to Full-Screen Scheduling

An Automated Process that uses folder structure and Clever Playlists to show items on screens automatically

  1. Create a Media Manager Folder and add initial content.

  2. Create a Playlist (Clever Playlist) that pulls from that folder.

  3. Assign Players and schedule it.

  4. Any new content added to the folder is automatically published full-screen to assigned screens.

Folder to Screen Area Scheduling

An Automated Process that uses folder structure, Clever Playlists, and the Playlist Element in the Layout Builder to automate new content to an area of a screen design.

  1. Create a Media Manager Folder and add initial content.

  2. Create Playlist #1 as a Clever Playlist that pulls from that folder (do not assign or schedule this playlist).

  3. In your Layout, add a Playlist Element in the target section/zone and point it to Playlist #1; publish the Layout.

  4. Create Playlist #2, add the published Layout to it, then assign Players and schedule it.

  5. New items added to the folder flow into Playlist #1 and appear only in that section of the screen via the Layout in Playlist #2.

Tag to Full Screen Scheduling

An Automated Process that uses Tags and Clever Playlists to automatically show items on screens

  1. Tag your content.

  2. Create a Playlist (Clever Playlist) set to pull tagged content.

  3. Assign Players and schedule it.

  4. Any content with that tag is automatically published full-screen.

Tag to Screen Area Scheduling

An Automated Process that uses Tags, Clever Playlists, and the Playlist Element in the Layout Builder to automate new content to an area of a screen design.

  1. Tag your content.

  2. Create Playlist #1 as a Clever Playlist that pulls that tag (do not assign or schedule this playlist).

  3. In your Layout, add a Playlist Element in the target section/zone and point it to Playlist #1; publish the Layout.

  4. Create Playlist #2, add the published Layout to it, then assign Players and schedule it.

  5. Any content with that tag fills just that section of the screen.

Courier to Screen Scheduling

An Automated Process that uses couriers to import content, Clever Playlists that use Folder or tag-based rules to show content on a screen

  1. Create a cloud folder (e.g., Box, OneDrive).

  2. Create a target Media Manager Folder in Korbyt.

  3. Configure a Courier rule to pull from the cloud folder into the Media Manager Folder.

  4. Create a Playlist that pulls from that Media Manager Folder.

  5. Assign Players and schedule it.

  6. Content added to the cloud folder is brought into Korbyt and published to assigned screens.

Launchpad to Clever Playlist

An Automated Process that uses Launchpad templates to create new content with tags attached and Clever Playlists that use tag-based rules to show content on a screen.

  1. Create a Predefined Web Forms Layout for Launchpads use and disable “Publish to Player.”

  2. Mark needed Element fields as templated and publish the Predefined Layout (this generates a submission-form folder).

  3. Create a Playlist that pulls from the submission-form folder.

  4. Assign Players and schedule it.

  5. Each Launchpad submission saves to that folder and is auto-published to assigned screens.

Layout-in-Layout Scheduling

An Automated Process that uses multiple layouts and the External URL element to have an area of the screen that can be updated separately.

  1. Create the small Layout (the content you want embedded).

  2. Create the large Layout (the primary screen design).

  3. In the large Layout, add an External URL Element in the target section and set its content to the small Layout; publish.

  4. Add the large Layout to a Playlist, assign Players, and schedule it.

  5. Updates to the small Layout change only that embedded section on screens.

Webfrom Scheduling

  1. Create a Predefined Web Forms Layout and mark Elements as templated; publish it.

  2. Share the submission form (URL or embed) with external users; submit once yourself to generate the target folder.

  3. Create a Playlist that pulls from the generated submission-form folder.

  4. Assign Players and schedule it.

  5. Each completed submission is saved and auto-published to the assigned screens.

HTML Template Scheduling

An Automated Process that uses the HTML element in a layout to display code that is controlled and configured outside of Korbyt.

  1. Copy the embed code from your third-party source.

  2. In Korbyt, add an HTML Embed to a Layout and paste the embed code.

  3. Add the Layout to a Playlist, assign Players, and schedule it.
