We’re constantly working to improve Korbyt. Here’s what we were up to:
🚀 New & Enhanced
Screen Detective Issue and Action Reports: See which issues were detected and what recovery actions were taken.
Screen Detective Detection Exclusions: Exclude specific player groups from frozen and blank screen detection. This helps for screens that are meant to show static or dark content.
Screen Detective Suppression Windows: Set global detection and alert suppression windows so planned downtime doesn’t create noise.
Screen Detective Action Statuses: App restarts and OS reboots now show as separate statuses, so you can see exactly which recovery step ran.
Screen Detective Inactive Status: Inactive players are now labeled as Inactive in Screen Detective.
Screen Detective Issue History: Each issue’s history now starts with an “Issue Detected” entry and includes reason detail for each step.
Screen Detective Filters: Filter all issues by the last 60 or 90 days. The dashboard now defaults to Today and remembers your selection.
Screen Detective Frozen Detection: Frozen content detection is more accurate on layouts that include clock elements.
Dashboard Improvements: Device Insights and User Insights cards use a denser layout. The dashboard and Investigate view also got visual polish.
Playlist Content Report: Generate a report of the content in your playlists.
Power BI Slicers: The Power BI element now supports reports that use slicers.
Korbyt Capture Cookie Persistence: A new option keeps cookies between script runs, so captured sites stay signed in.
Player Notification Emails: Notification emails now include more player details, so you can find affected screens faster.
Tag Administration: With Tag Administration enabled, you can let specific roles create freeform tags.
Clever Rules: Value dropdowns now show both lookup values and values already in use.
Google Integration: Korbyt’s Google integration now runs through an approved Google app, which removes authentication warnings on the Google Slides element.
SSO Certificate Auto-Refresh: SSO certificates now refresh automatically, so expiring certificates are less likely to interrupt sign-in.
🐛 Squashed Bugs
Playlists and Scheduling
Fixed “repeat every X minutes/hours” playlist schedules on PWA players.
Override playlists now start at their scheduled time.
Resolved an issue with Forever timing on playlists.
Changing a Clever Content rule from Tag to Folder no longer breaks player instructions.
Deleted Clever Playlist content triggers no longer come back after saving and reloading.
A Playlist element with no playlists assigned no longer breaks the whole desktop message.
Content, Media and Navigation
Media uploaded by drag and drop now inherits the destination folder’s start and end dates.
Corrected an issue that blocked some media uploads.
The validity end date picker now defaults correctly to 11:59:59 PM.
Fixed cloning of messages.
Folders with underscores in the name can now be created and edited.
Posts and categories with quotation marks in the title can now be deleted.
Resolved an issue with submitted posts in Korbyt Anywhere.
Sorting on list pages such as Players and Playlists now works on every page, not only the first.
Moving layouts into folders no longer shows an “Action Not Allowed” message.
Layouts and Elements
Predefined layout settings now work when no email is set.
Fixed an error when submitting predefined layout webforms.
Tags can now be removed from Web URL fields in predefined layouts.
Moving predefined layouts between folders no longer shows an error.
Text elements that display the time no longer flash an incorrect time.
The YouTube element now plays live stream URLs.
The Ignore Title setting now stays saved.
OnTarget news tickers no longer restart unexpectedly.
The Salesforce element now shows dashboards and keeps its sign-in credentials.
Resolved authentication warnings on the Google Slides element.
Players and Devices
Cisco Webex PWA players now load signage over HTTPS.
Fixed CSV provisioning for Webex players.
Booking meetings now stay on PWA players for the full meeting.
Pushing player updates to player groups now completes successfully.
The Help menu on the Virgo player support page no longer shows an error.
Player notifications to Slack are delivered again.
Integrations and Data
Postgres and MS SQL adapters now create every configured table, not only the first.
Data adapters on Hybrid Server now activate after saving, without a “Script not found” error.
Fixed financial data feeds that had stopped updating.
Fixed a secrets error in Korbyt Capture.
Existing Keychain values can be edited again.
Users, Access and Admin
Existing users are now marked as SSO after signing in with SAML SSO.
User exports no longer include deleted users.
Deleted users no longer count toward the CMS user limit.
Switching from Signage to Booking no longer logs you out.
The Launchpad approval process no longer blocks publishing.
Screen Detective’s active issue count now leaves out resolved issues.
Fixed an endless loading loop at the end of the Screen Detective issues list.
