Korbyt Booking Now Integrates with Crestron DeskQ: Smarter Desk Management, Seamless Experience

We’re excited to announce the official launch of the Crestron DeskQ integration with Korbyt Booking—bringing you a more powerful and intuitive desk booking experience.

With this integration, users can now:

  • Book, check-in, and release desks/rooms with DeskQ & our Mobile App with real-time sync to Korbyt Booking.

  • Experience seamless integration with your existing workplace scheduling, floor plans, and booking policies.

  • Ensure optimal desk utilization while supporting hybrid work and touchless, in-office flexibility.

Designed for speed, simplicity, and scale, the integration ensures consistent user experiences across Korbyt Bookit, Outlook, mobile, and now Crestron DeskQ hardware—all within your secure IT ecosystem.

Step-by-Step Integration Guide

Prerequisites:

Step 1: Configure Global Settings in Korbyt Booking

  1. Log in to the Korbyt Booking Web Application as an Admin.

  2. Navigate to:
    Administration → Settings Global Settings Crestron Desk Q Settings Configure

  3. If the option is set to Yes, then skip to point 4. If not, continue to next step

    Toggle to Yes

    Click Save in the top right or bottom right.

  1. Click On Configure and say Yes to navigate to another page.

  2. In the XIO Account ID field, enter your valid Crestron XIO Account ID associated with the XIO account you plan to use with Desk Q. You can find this ID in your XIO Account Settings.

  3. Click Save to apply changes.

Step 2: Associate DeskQ QR Codes to Resources

  1. Login to Korbyt Booking Web Application, ensuring you have administration permissions

  2. Go to:
    Administration → Resource Management → Resource.

  3. Select the resource (desk or room) to which you want to associate to a DeskQ.

  4. Scroll to the Scan Code field.

  5. Manually input QR Code text to associate to that space.
    This MUST be unique and relate to the resource you are configuring.

    Example: Desk 201 in London à Suggested LDNDesk210 (No spaces)

  6. Set Desk Q to Yes

  7. Enter then Name you wish to be displayed on the Desk Q Placard. (See Print the Placards section below)

    Example: Desk 201

  8. Click Save.

Step 3: Print the Placards

  1. Go to Administration à Settings à Global Settings à Crestron Desk Q Settings and Enable Crestron DeskQ integration by selecting ‘Yes’.

  2. Click on Save option in the top right or bottom right.

  3. Go to Administration à Settings à Global Settings à Crestron Desk Q Settings and Enable Crestron DeskQ integration à Configure



  4. Within the Placard Setting area, Within the Placard section, set the option to either Professional or Self (See below what the two options offer)

  1. Once selected, Click on Save

  1. Click on Download Placard


A PDF File will be created which will contain all the placards required for the configured devices. Print and then cut around the labels which can then be placed within the Desk Q devices.

Placard Options

Professional

This option is designed for clients who need to produce a lot of Placards for their Desk Q Devices, and would like to use a 3rd party company to produce the Placards that will be inserted into the Desk Q device. Creston have partnered with Crestron Electronics x MOO to assist with this. Create an account and use the downloaded placard document.

Self

This option is designed for clients who wish to print the placards themselves. The downloaded file will contain all the placards, which can be cut and inserted into the Desk Q Device. Its recommended where possible to use a slightly heavy paper when printing.

Step 4: Configuring your Desk Q Devices

  1. Use the link below to now configure the Desk Q Devices.

    Device Assistant [Crestron Electronics, Inc.]

  2. Use the same account you created when setting up Creston XIO Account

  3. You MUST have completed all steps including the Placard creation before you can setup the Desk Q Devices as you will need to scan the QR Code associated with each device.

Step 5: Validate the Integration

  1. Navigate to the Booking calendar or Floorplan view.

  2. Check if the resources with QR codes now display real-time availability.

  3. Use a QR code scanner on the Korbyt Booking Mobile App to test if scanning the code routes to the correct resource allowing you to book.

  4. Verify that the booking is visible on the Calendar & the DeskQ device.

Step 6: Monitor and Maintain

  • Regularly verify that all DeskQ QR codes remain correctly linked, especially after device replacements or layout changes.

  • Ensure your XIO credentials remain active and synced with DeskQ service APIs.
