Bulk Provisioning In Korbyt

Bulk provisioning registers your Sony Pro display with the Korbyt platform before it is powered on. Follow the steps in order

  1. Log in to your Korbyt CMS

    • You will need to have Administrative rights in your Korbyt Tenant

  2. Navigate to the Players screen

    • This will be in the Device Management section of the Navigation Bar or the Mega Menu

  3. On the Players screen, click the blue Bulk Provision button

  4. In the Player Provision pop-up, click Download Sample CSV file

    • This will download a sample form to your computer in your normal download folder

  5. Open the CSV file on your computer

  6. You can delete the sample entries

  7. Enter the following required information for all the Sony Bravia Pro SOC displays you wish to connect at this time

    • Column A - MAC Address = The MAC-E (Ethernet) MAC Address for the device

      • This must match the Ethernet interface the display will use when installed

    • Column B - Number of Outputs = 1

      • Always set to 1 for Sony Pro SOC Displays

    • Column C - Name = A Device Name

      • Less than 64 characters

      • Can only contain letters, numbers, and hyphens (no special characters, can not end in a hyphen)

      • If you want to include other symbols, the Alias field can be used for a more friendly display name for the device in the CMS

    • Column E - Tags = bravia

      • Required for Sony Pro Device identification

    • Column DP - Customer = { "sonyProvisioningKey": "<Community Key>" }.

      • Replace <Community Key> with the key provided by your Korbyt administrator.

      • Must match the key entered on the display.

    • Additional Metadata Information

      • Additional information fields can be filled in now or edited later.

      • In addition to the above required fields, we suggest that each player also be set with their physical address.

      • The more information a player has about themselves, the more you can automate in Korbyt.

  8. Once done, save the CSV file on your computer

  9. In the Korbyt CMS, in the Provisioning pop-up, click Choose CSV File

  10. Browse and select the CSV file on your computer

  11. Click Validate and Preview

    • You will see a sample of the details from the CSV file

  12. Click Import to finish

You will now see the new player entries on the Player Screen. They will appear in Pending status and remain there until they have their first successful connection to Korbyt at the end of this process.
